Environmental Defense came to us for an interactive campaign to educate Americans on the realities of global warming. We gave them a bunch of great ideas that we could have shot and built with a little time and money, but with only a week from brief to final handoff, we were forced into a concept that relied on stock footage (although we're still hoping to build the other ideas as extensions to the campaign).
So, a little compositing later and there's a cute little girl sitting impassively as the world turns into an arid metaphor around her. You get to drag the slider around and decide how the world turns out as a stopwatch ticks in the background. The ad was very successful, driving some huge numbers to sign up for the Environmental Defense mailing list, and averaging 65 seconds of interaction per viewer.
I almost hate to admit it, but this is one of the few campaigns I've worked on where the static execution (in case the user doesn't have Flash) was actually cool in its own right.
