Turns out sharing is a word that strikes fear into lawyers' hearts. They get visions of kids using Limewire, kids with thieving fire burning in their little eyes, kids with only one purpose: to bring down the record industry.

So, when Yahoo! asked us to advertise the sharing functionality in Yahoo! Music Unlimited, most of the ideas that we gave them were killed quickly and without remorse. Anything that depicted files being copied in any way was off limits, even if it's just, say, Gwen Stefani dancing on your desk, and then maybe she's dancing on your buddy's desk seven hundred miles away.

Until Aaron Griffiths and I decided it was time to break out the minipong.

The product is actually pretty cool. You can share anything in the Yahoo! Music Unlimited library over instant messenger. Perfect, it turns out, for letting your bird know how much you love her.
