The full title of this project is 'Stop Rape Now: U.N. Action against Sexual Violence in Conflict', and that was our challenge right there - first and foremost, our task was to create a platform for explaining the problem, and provide a mechanism for spreading the word and galvanising grassroots support for the movement.

Taking the existing crossed-arms gesture and logotype as a starting point, we handled some of the graphical issues - refining the form to project strength and defiance - straight off the bat. From there, we concepted a short film that walks viewers through the issues, leading into an advanced flash 'community engine' that visualises the power of strength through unity (note: still unbuilt, due to funding difficulties).

With that done, Luccaco built a site to house all this, drawing news updates from U.N. agencies and NGO partners to create a living, breathing site.

Humble.tv produced the live action portions of the film, shot in one chilly day around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Jack Roberts directed.
