Another year, another Jumbotron. This year brought a fresh identity and a new product lineup, so it was time to leave the silhouettes behind and aim for a bit more realism to convey that.

We shot at Goal Line Studios in Pleasanton again, this time on a larger green cyc with a huge array of tracking markers which would provide us with enough data for the matchmoving software to do its thing so that we could composite in the elements around the characters with the cameras moving organically.

The footage we shot required a fair bit of fakery to get the results that EVB wanted, including a lot of rotoscoping and hand work to match CG elements to the multiple shots we got from HD Varicams on cranes and steadicams. Rig removal was achieved using Mokey and Monet, and particle systems generated with Particular - big thanks to the crews at Imagineer and Trapcode for their help and support, and shouts to Blazing Lazer for the loan of a soundtrack that I dropped in so you don't have to sit there in silence.
